Download Auto Ore Dictionary Converter Mod 1.16.5/1.12.2/1.7.10 By MattDahEpic

Auto Ore Dictionary Converter Mod 1.16.5/1.12.2/1.7.10 is a mod by MattDahEpic. It is a great utility for players who install mods containing ore with the same names.

What is the mod about?

This is a Server Utility mod for Minecraft. It is all about changing the ore types through a simple command. Sometimes, when you want to create a modpack for yourself focusing on ore exploiting, there is usually a problem here. Lots of types of copper ores have the same names but they belong to different mods. Therefore, it may lead to your inventory being full of four types of copper ore. To fix this problem, the author MattDahEpic decided to release the mod mentioned above. He added a feature for changing ores with the same names into one type of ore only.

To change the ores, you must hold one copper type that you want to change other ores into. Then, you type like this: “/odc”. From now, when you find ores with the same names, they will turn into a type of ore you are holding. Let’s take a detailed example below:

You are holding a thermal expansion copper ingot, then you can run the command, as shown above, /odc add. Now, all copper types will be changed when you have them.

What are the conversion config formats for modpack developers when using Auto Ore Dictionary Converter?

If you are a modpack maker, here are some config formats for you to follow to implement the conversion. They are kind of simple to use:

  • If you want to change all items from a simple tag to a particular item, you will follow this command (for instance, forge:ores/iron=minecraft:iron_ore): namespace:tag=modid:item.
  • When you want to change a particular item to another one, then here is the command for you (for instance, minecraft:diamond>minecraft:netherite_ingot): modid:item>modid:item

Changing ores with the same names from different mods into one type is so easy now. Before you install the Auto Ore Dictionary Converter mod, you should install Minecraft Forge and MattDahEpic Core (MDECore) first.
